Dr. Amireh completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke Medical Center.
He then completed his interventional pain management at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Amireh was Chief Resident during his residency and was one of the top graduates in the history of the fellowship training program.
Dr. Amireh successfully completed the Board Certification exams in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
During his clinical fellow at the University of Western Ontario at London, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Amireh gained extensive experience in pain research, some of which has been published in Lancet, Neurology, and Canadian Neurological Sciences.
In 2000, Dr. Amireh moved to Fresno, California, where he became a partner of Anesthesia Consultants of Fresno.
Currently, he is affiliated with Summit Surgical Center and an excellent pain team to provide interventional treatment.
Dr. Amireh is a highly qualified specialist for various pain conditions in which he employs the latest technique and modalities available in the field of interventional pain management using state of the art minimally invasive treatment.
Dr. Amireh’s areas of clinical expertise include, but are not limited to, the treatment of malignant and nonmalignant pain, neck and back pain including sciatica, pinched nerve (cervical and lumbar radiculopathy), failed back surgery syndrome (postlaminectomy syndrome), peripheral neuropathy, complex regional pain syndrome, and vertebral compression fracture related to osteoporosis and malignancy.
Areas of technical expertise include Balloon Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty, spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pump implant, percutaneous disc decompression, discography, nerve block, and facet joint block.
